We are the Lions and the Crocodiles

The children in Year 2 have settled in well and are looking forward to a hard working, enjoyable final year at Ashbrook.

Many children brought in or sent postcards for our seaside topic and were able to talk confidently about their holidays.

We enjoyed a very successful football festival at Denbigh where the children built on their skills, culminating in small matches. The day was made even more pleasant by the super weather.

We have planned and designed our puppets which with the help of our parent volunteers we are beginning to make. This will continue next half term. 

The art work in Year 2 continues to show that we have a wealth of talent amongst the pupils. Please come and see the African art work, the seaside colour wall and the fabulous close observational drawings of conkers that the children have done.

Thank you to the parents of all the children who are enthusiastically supportive. We are overwhelmed by the response with the number cards and are trying our best to keep up with checking them. Also your help with spelling and continued support with reading will help to ensure your children get the best from their education in Year 2. Thank you again.
